Straight Forehead

Straight Forehead, an Oglala Sioux warrior in 1876, fought under Big Road and Crazy Horse in the Battle of the Little Big Horn, in which he killed two soldiers and counted three coups on living enemies.

"I used a lance and shield and a bow and arrows. A few of us had rifles or pistols but maybe I was old-fashioned."
Manderson, SD 1941
