Stephen Brave Bird

Stephen Brave Bird, a Sichangu (Burnt Thigh) or Brule Sioux warrior aged 19 in 1876, fought under Crow Dog in the Battle of the Little Big Horn, in which he took a scalp, counted two coups, and captured eight cavalry horses.

"I was about 19 there at Greasy Grass (Little Big Horn River). So I was a seasoned warrior."
