Jacob Little Skunk, a Minneconjou Sioux warrior aged 16 in 1876, fought under Fast Bull and High-Backbone, fighting leaders of the Little Big Horn. He was among a mass of warriors who surrounded and annihilated the last 30 troopers of Custer's command toward the end of the fighting on Custer's Hill, scene of the Last Stand, but I was uncertain how man, if any, troopers he killed.
"In ware we combed our hair loose as we did in religious ceremonies in order gain all the possible power fro our mother earth. Closer to the land our hair could reach, the more forcer we might receive. It was our 'medicine' to wear loosened hair."
