Chief Grass Rope

Chief Grass Rope, leader of the low Brule Sioux in later year, fought at age 15 under minor Brule chief, Crow Dog, at the Battle of Little Bighorn. He died in 1943.

"You ask if I was at the Greasy Grass (Little Big Horn) Fight with Long Hair. Yes, I was there. I was only about fifteen then, but already had gone on the war trail, so I was not new to fighting.
